Pack your lunch and come along and listen amidst the stunning archecture of Old Saint Paul’s here in Wellington. I will be playing a section of solo pieces from my albums ‘Etudes, Old & New’ and ‘Nuevo Dirreción’ plus one or two new pieces.
I imagine many local Wellingtonians are well aware of the architectural treasure that is Old St Paul’s in Pipitea. I first visited it several years ago on a trip to the city and was immediately captivated by the beautiful wooden vaulted ceilings and deep, lush colours of the stained glass windows. I was so pleased to hear that they have a winter concert series called Musical Punch Over Lunch that features a diverse weekly concert of contrasting music.
Even more buzzed to be playing some of my own compositions for Classical Guitar. More details to follow.
Plenty to look at and listen to this weekend, what with Cuba Dupa kicking off yesterday, but if you are after something a little more low key, head over to Park Road. We will be playing from 3pm to 5pm.
