Original music played on the nylon stringed Classical or Spanish guitar. Played with the fingers as opposed to a pick or plectrum. Often extended pieces that require a greater level of dexterity.
Pack your lunch and come along and listen amidst the stunning archecture of Old Saint Paul’s here in Wellington. I will be playing a section of solo pieces from my albums ‘Etudes, Old & New’ and ‘Nuevo Dirreción’ plus one or two new pieces.
I imagine many local Wellingtonians are well aware of the architectural treasure that is Old St Paul’s in Pipitea. I first visited it several years ago on a trip to the city and was immediately captivated by the beautiful wooden vaulted ceilings and deep, lush colours of the stained glass windows. I was so pleased to hear that they have a winter concert series called Musical Punch Over Lunch that features a diverse weekly concert of contrasting music.
Even more buzzed to be playing some of my own compositions for Classical Guitar. More details to follow.
Wellington’s annual Gardens Magic Concert Series 2024 is well under way. Plenty of wonderful music and performers to listen to over the next few weeks and I am pleased to announce I will be supporting the New Zealand String Quartet. Pack a picnic, should be a wonderful evening in the beautiful setting of the Botanic Garden Ki Paekākā.
