Had a wonderful evening at the Apra Silver Scroll Awards here in Wellington this week. Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners who went on to take the prizes. Some very talented people at work here, aside from the artists themselves. The sound, stage and lighting sets were all simply fantastic and the old St James Theatre simply buzzed with the presence of such illuminati.
Never know who you are going to bump not at Double Vision Breweries these days.
Happy to be back at Double Vision in Miramar. Call in if you are in the area, for a chill afternoon at Wellington’s best brewery.
Have to say a big thank you to the wonderful staff at Old St Paul’s and to everyone who came along for the recent lunchtime concert. It truly was a privilege to get to play my music in such a beautiful space.
Pack your lunch and come along and listen amidst the stunning archecture of Old Saint Paul’s here in Wellington. I will be playing a section of solo pieces from my albums ‘Etudes, Old & New’ and ‘Nuevo Dirreción’ plus one or two new pieces.
I imagine many local Wellingtonians are well aware of the architectural treasure that is Old St Paul’s in Pipitea. I first visited it several years ago on a trip to the city and was immediately captivated by the beautiful wooden vaulted ceilings and deep, lush colours of the stained glass windows. I was so pleased to hear that they have a winter concert series called Musical Punch Over Lunch that features a diverse weekly concert of contrasting music.
Even more buzzed to be playing some of my own compositions for Classical Guitar. More details to follow.
